Det dök upp rykten för en dryg vecka sen om att Amazon Studios / MGM nu rör sig i blixtfart för att komma igång med nästa James Bond-rulle efter att de betalat en miljard kronor enbart för att Eon Productions och 007-bossen Barbara Broccoli skulle kliva åt sidan (efter att ha betalat 10,7 miljarder dollar för licensen i sig, för ett par år sedan). Det ryktades om att Amazon jagade Sonys Amy Pascal, som producerat samtliga fem senaste Spider-Man-rullar samt David Heyman som skapade Harry Potter-filmuniversumet för Warners räkning. Inga dåliga rekryteringar direkt utan två ordentligt meriterade storproducenter som naturligtvis jobbat massor med stor, namnstark, snordyr franchise-film vid tidigare tillfällen.
