Pengar, fick hon – Och inte mer än rätt då hennes före detta arbetsgivare Disney sparkade henne (med motiveringen "To publicly trivialize the Holocaust by comparing criticism of political conservatives to the annihilation of millions of Jewish people… was the final straw.") under produktionen av The Mandalorian, efter en tweet. Före detta Strikeforce-fightern (och sedan länge omskolad till skådespelerska) Gina Carano stämde ju Disney med finansiell hjälp av Elon Musk efter att hon sparkats till följd av en tweet som Star Wars-studion upplevde som stötande. Nu står det klart att de båda parterna kommit överens, förlikning har nåtts och fallet kommer därför inte att dyka upp i rätten. Hur mycket pluring Gina fick vet vi inte men lita på att det handlar om en ansenlig summa.
Disney skriver följande:
"The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Gina Carano to resolve the issues in her pending lawsuit against the companies. Ms. Carano was always well respected by her directors, co-stars, and staff, and she worked hard to perfect her craft while treating her colleagues with kindness and respect. With this lawsuit concluded, we look forward to identifying opportunities to work together with Ms. Carano in the near future."
