Skulle A Minecraft Movie kunna vara mer än en film? Denna hyllning till det mest sålda spelet genom alla tider har premiär i slutet av veckan, och enligt huvudrollsinnehavaren Jack Black är filmen, förutom underhållning, precis vad världen behöver just nu. Till The Hollywood Reporter säger han:
"What the world needs now is love, sweet love. We’ve got to work together, my God. There’s so much violence and war and hatred. And that’s what I love about this movie — there’s a lot of love in it and there’s a lot of creativity. There is some anger and violence too, but in the end it’s about friendship and working together to make [the world] a better place."
Medspelaren Jason Momoa verkar hålla med och tillägger att han tycker "everyone needs to escape a little bit right now. It’s nice to sit back and have a really fun adventure and giggle and laugh."
Black spelar Steve i filmen medan Momoa spelar en av de människor som är fångade i {Minecraft}-världen och måste använda Steves kunskap och expertis för att kunna återvända hem.
